To save maps for the Xioami Dreame F9 Robot Vaccum Cleaner, we need to enable it via Menu > Explore > Map Saving Mode in the Xiaomi Home app. It will allow saving maps of the whole house/apartment as well as individual rooms. Obviously, we will need to install the Xiaomi Home application in our Android or iPhone smartphone. The app should also be paired or connected with the robot vacuum cleaner. Only then can you scour the settings to save the map. Another important condition to save the maps is that the vacuum cleaner starts from the charger, cleans the apartment and ends up in the charger. The cleaning should finish completely as well. So, you can’t just lift up the vacuum, put it on the charger and expect the map to save.
To save the map(s) in the Xiaomi Dreame F9 Robot Vacuum Cleaner, follow these steps-
- In the Xiaomi Home app, tap on your robot vacuum.
- Tap on the three dots ⋮on the top-right.
- Tap on Explore.
- Drag the slider for the Map Saving Mode to the right.
Now, complete an entire round of cleaning. The robot vacuum should start and end at the charger. Then you can use the saved maps.
